Folsom Ready Mix Sponsors Builders Fore Kids Golf Tournament and The First Tee of Greater Sacramento
On Monday May 6th, 2019 Folsom Ready Mix will be joining in with the Builders For Kids Golf Tournament at the Catta Verdera Country Club. This year we are Gold Sponsors for this event for a great cause. Proceeds from the 2019 Builders Fore Kids Tournament will be used to help The First Tee of Greater Sacramento. This is a fantastic youth development organization helps shape the lives of young people from all walks of life and all abilities through educational after school and in school programs that build character, reinforce integrity, instill life-enhancing values and promote perseverance.
Skilled Trades Job Fair: Saturday April 13th

Folsom Ready Mix Participates in ACI Golf Classic at the Granite Bay Golf Club
The American Concrete Institute (ACI) is hosting its 14th annual ACI Golf Classic tournament on Monday May 6th, 2019. For the fifth year in a row this event will be held at the Granite Bay Golf Club and sponsors, including us here at Folsom Ready Mix, and volunteers are joining to create a great golf event! We are looking forward to joining in and playing! The tournament is set up as a four-person scramble with trophies awarded in multiple categories.
Using Accelerators and Hot Water to Protect and Cure Cold Weather Concrete
There are many times when concrete projects can’t wait for milder temperatures before beginning construction. For those working with concrete during the cold weather months, proper execution of cold weather concreting is essential. Cold weather concreting takes place when the concrete is placed somewhere that the temperature may fall below 40 degrees F. Certain steps need to be taken to protect against early freezing and thermal cracking. However, low temperature concrete that has been protected from cold weather exposure and properly cured will result in a much durable concrete with a higher ultimate strength. Accelerating admixture and hot water are the recommended combination to allow concrete to set up in a reasonable time, while keeping internal temperatures on track.
Folsom Ready Mix: Sponsor for District Ice Rink in El Dorado Hills
This winter, from November 23rd through January 6th, El Dorado Hills’ District Church will have an ice skating rink on their campus. We are proud to be sponsors and a part of this effort. We have donated concrete and given discounts to help support this organization. This rink is run by volunteers. If you’d like to get involved, there is more information on their website.
Friends of Folsom 9th Annual Turkey Drive
We are participating again this year in the ninth annual Friends of Folsom Turkey Drive! Last year we were able to help this great effort in their goal of feeding 3,000 local families for Thanksgiving. This year they have set a new goal of 5,000 turkeys and Folsom Ready Mix has donated $750 (the equivalent of 60 turkeys)! We are challenging other local businesses to do the same!
Halloween at Hagan Trunk or Treat Photos!
We hope everyone had a great Halloween! This year we participated in Cordova Recreation and Park District’s (CRPD) annual Halloween at Hagan event on Saturday, October 27th from 4:30 PM – 7:30 PM. We had a mixer truck decorated for Halloween and we were on site handing out candy for the trunk or treat event! It was a lot of fun for the family with Halloween games, activities a haunted room, prizes, trunk or treat and so much more.
