Folsom Ready Mix Enhances Anderson Facility for Improved Capacity and Reliability
Folsom Ready Mix recently unveiled significant upgrades at its Anderson plant, including a new batch office and an advanced automated aggregate system. These enhancements not only bolster plant capacity but also enhance reliability for a facility with a longstanding presence since the mid-1900s. As a key location serving the greater Redding and Shasta County areas in California, maintaining Anderson’s reliability as a ready mix concrete source is paramount for Folsom Ready Mix, a Farmer Company. We’d like to extend our gratitude to all of our customers that assisted with these improvements, particularly ProBuilt Contracting, Inc. and Eric Dunton Construction, Inc., for their support in the project implementation.
Folsom Ready Mix: Southbound Cottonwood Scales I-5 Project
Anderson, CA – Located approximately 7 miles north of Red Bluff in Tehama County, a significant infrastructure improvement project is in progress. Folsom Ready Mix plays a key role in supplying concrete for the SB Cottonwood Scales project on Interstate 5, extending from 0.3 mile north of the Snively Road Overcrossing to 0.4 mile north of the Bowman Road Overcrossing. This endeavor aims to upgrade the southbound Cottonwood Commercial Vehicle Enforcement Facility (CVEF) to a full Class C facility.

The project involves constructing a 1,200-foot-long balanced cantilever bridge over the South Fork American River gorge. The success of this enterprise is not only attributed to construction expertise, but also reflects a remarkable degree of teamwork involving skilled personnel from both government and private entities. Furthermore, the project highlights the commendable “patient cooperation” demonstrated by local businesses and property owners. In a spirited display of community and camaraderie, Folsom Ready Mix is thrilled to announce its participation in the “Battle of the Bags Roebbelen Charity Cornhole Tournament” event. The tournament, set to take place Wednesday, February 7, 2024, at the Roebbelen Event Center in Roseville, California, aims to break the world record for the largest cornhole tournament.
