Recently, the Pleasant Grove High School Aggie Backers (Backing the Future of Agriculture) were looking for donors to help raise funds to meet the needs of FFA (Future Farmers of America) students and agriculture instructors in order to create leaders within the school and community. They held their annual dinner and auction at the Elk Grove Pavilion on February 24th, 2018. With 200 guests in attendance the event was a great success. We were happy to be involved and took the opportunity to purchase and then donate a pair of NBA tickets for the Golden State Warriors at the Sacramento Kings.
From the Pleasant Grove High School Aggie Backers:
Pleasant Grove High School in Elk Grove has an outstanding Agriculture department with an extremely active FFA (Future Farmers of America) chapter that includes approximately 500 members. The FFA is the largest student leadership organization in the nation that focuses on making a positive difference in the lives of students by developing their potential for premier leadership, personal growth, and career success through agriculture education […] In the past, [they] have assisted with the purchase of equipment for the Agriculture Facility, expenses related to Career Development Events, provided meals for Sacramento County Fair exhibitors, and much more.
It is our continued hope that other local businesses in the area get involved in community events and begin or continue giving back. Good luck to Pleasant Grove High School FFA students!
