Last weekend, in response to the devastating wildfires in Shasta County, locals in the community organized an amazing fundraising dinner “From the Ashes Neighbors Unite! Carr Fire Fundraiser”. We were happy to participate by donating money to process the meat to make the dinner. One of our own drivers here at Folsom Ready Mix is from Redding, CA and his mother organized this amazing effort.
The fundraiser took place on Saturday, August 11th from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM at the Frontier Senior Center in Anderson, California. We are very pleased to announce that over 200 people attended the event. So far the fundraiser has raised about $2,000. We did still have a lot of processed meat turned into sausage for another breakfast fundraiser. As a local business, we are happy to help in any way that we can and we encourage everyone to find a way to give back during this time.
The proceeds of this event go to the Carr fire victims through the GTP Relief Fund and the Salvation Army specifying that the proceeds are for the victims of the Carr Fire in Shasta County.
Below are photos from Saturday’s fundraiser. Thanks to all who attended!
