Folsom Ready Mix Sponsors 2022 Builders For Kids Charity Golf Tournament

On Monday May 2nd, 2022 Folsom Ready Mix joined in the Builders For Kids Charity Golf Tournament at the Granite Bay Golf Club. This year we participated as a hole sponsor! Proceeds from this event will be used to help Capital College & Career Academy reach their $50,000 fundraising goal.

About Capital College & Career Academy:

Capital College and Career Academy is a new charter program aimed at addressing a critical need here in the Sacramento area while providing students with the skills and certifications necessary to become change-makers in their community. CCCA was developed in partnership with the community, higher education partners, and business leaders to address the misalignment between K-12 education and post-secondary options.

With a vision to create an educational environment where students are college accelerated and job prepared, CCCA is the only school in the region that has dual enrollment agreements allowing students to take college courses on Sacramento State and American River College campuses. The school will target incoming 9th-grade students who are motivated learners looking for a hands-on academic experience to provide a one-of-a-kind learning experience.

Graduating students will possess a number of college units, trade specific certifications, and a vast array of on-the-job training, making them more attractive to employers and colleges than their peers. The curriculum at CCCA will provide a life-changing opportunity for students who, upon graduation will have the real-world experience and the tangible skills that will allow them to succeed not just today but for years down the road.

We’re very thankful to have had the opportunity again this year to be a part of such a great effort. One of our larger commercial customers, Roebbelen Contracting, Inc, established Builders4Kids as a non-profit entity with the goal to assist local organizations. To date, they have raised over $675,000 for local children’s organizations.

The success of Builders4Kids is due to the continued commitment of sponsors supporting and contributing to charitable organizations in our local community where we are proud to live and work.
