After 25 years of planning and fundraising, the Colfax Skatepark is becoming a reality. Folsom Ready Mix is proud to have played a part in bringing this long-awaited community project to life.
The skatepark represents a major collaborative effort by companies throughout the Northern California concrete industry. Concrete, materials, equipment, trucks, drivers and industry expertise were contributed to help turn years of community planning into a place that Colfax residents can enjoy for years to come.
A Concrete Industry Team Effort
Projects like the Colfax Skatepark demonstrate what can happen when companies that work alongside—and sometimes compete with—one another come together for a shared purpose.
Folsom Ready Mix joined a large group of industry contributors that included Pan Pacific Cement, Western Aggregates by Teichert, A&A Ready Mixed Concrete, Livingston’s Concrete, Mathews Ready Mix, Bear River Aggregates, CEMEX, Hanford Sand & Gravel, Solomon Colors, West Coast Outlaws and others.
CalCIMA also supported the effort as an advocate for the concrete industry, the Colfax community and the skatepark project.
For Folsom Ready Mix, being part of the project was an opportunity to contribute our resources and experience to something that will have a lasting impact well beyond the concrete itself.

Concrete is essential to the infrastructure we use every day, but projects like this show another side of what our industry can build.
The new Colfax Skatepark will give local skaters and families a dedicated place to gather, learn and enjoy for years to come. It is the result of decades of persistence from the community and an impressive level of cooperation among the companies and organizations that stepped up to help make it happen.

Celebrate the Colfax Skatepark Grand Opening
The community is invited to celebrate the completed skatepark at the Colfax Skatepark Grand Opening on Saturday, October 3, from 3–8 p.m. at the Colfax Skatepark and Colfax Baseball Field in Colfax, California.
The celebration will include food trucks and vendors, a kids play zone and bounce houses, music, a beer garden and a red ribbon cutting. Guests can also make their own free mini concrete skatepark feature.
Skateboarding legend Mike McGill, creator of the McTwist, will be a special guest at the event and will sign boards at the concrete truck.
We’re looking forward to celebrating with the Colfax community and everyone across the concrete industry who helped make this project possible.
